Why do this with ME?

There are A LOT of health coaches out there and weight loss programs you could be a part of. So how and why am I different? Great question.

After over 9 years of working as a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Health Coach helping patients and clients with exercise instruction, injury prevention, nutrition counseling, helping them reach and exceed their goals and expectations of what they thought they were capable of, I wanted to help more people and in a new way–ONLINE!

And I specifically felt called to help Christian women, building a community of support, love and encouragement.

Now what you must know about me is that I’m NOT the dictator-in-your-face-aggressive type. So if you know that that ‘s the only type of motivation you respond to, then I’m not the coach for you during this journey.

 

My style is more of encouragement, self-evaluation, problem-solving, heart-based, love-driven coaching. So I’m not going to shame or guilt or bully you into action, but I’m going to present the facts and options you have in a way to make you take ownership of the reality and what you need to do to create the results you’re after.

Who is this NOT for?

  • This is not for you if you’re not open to self-discovery and long-term habit creation for a healthier you.

I’ve been there! My personal story…

I’ve had my own weight fluctuations up and down and after being at my heaviest (over 165 pounds). Now to you, that may or may not seem like I weighed “too much”, but the point is, we can’t judge each other on our own numbers. I share mine to emphasize that for me, that was way over the line from where I had used to be, and more importantly, where I felt the best about my body.

 

I finally took my own advice, education and training I was already giving my patients every day, and I turned it on myself! I got my own health coach, along with taking responsibility for myself and my actions, and I’ve now been consistently 20 pounds below my heaviest weight for the past 4 years, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have smaller fluctuations now and again, and need to get myself back on track sometimes. πŸ˜‰

FAQ’s:

  • Is this a specific “diet” I have to follow?

Yes and No. I provide you with resources and suggestions that support a whole-food eating approach. So there’s no specific bars, shakes, meal replacements or supplements that are part of the meal plan. I believe the best food for weight loss and optimal health is already provided by nature. But with specific recommended guidelines and eating schedule that I propose, you can easily lose and maintain your weight loss with real, unprocessed, whole foods.

  • How much weight will I lose?

That’s entirely up to you. If you follow the guidelines and recommendations I present, most people will be on track to lose 2-5 pounds in the first week, and 10-15 pounds in the first 30 days. But of course, results vary, and the more someone’s body has to lose, the more they will shed. The less you have to lose to reach a healthy weight, the slower it will come off.

  • I don’t have much time. This sounds like a lot. I’m not sure I can commit to this.

I get it. Life is already busy. How can you fit it all in? But think about this: if you don’t make the decision to create the change and structure you need to get to your ideal weight and finally make those healthier changes you know you need to make, when will you? What else will get in the way? How many more weeks, months or years will go by before you finally get going? If you don’t take this opportunity right in front of you, with all the support, accountability and done-for-you resources to make it as easy as possible to create healthy change, will you honestly eventually create it all on your own?

In the end, it’s your DECISION to commit and “draw a line in the sand” to take charge of your health and life, and I can’t force you to make yourself a priority. That’s up to you.
