How to NOT become a New Year’s Resolution “statistic”

Statistically speaking, today’s the day 40% of people give up their New Year’s Resolutions!

Have you already fallen prey to the 92% who ultimately give up their resolutions? Or are you still hanging on? And if you’re still hanging on, how strong is your resolve, your commitment from a scale of 1-10?

Why do the vast majority of resolutions fail? How could our once strong and purposeful desire for change be so easily abandoned?

There are many reasons, but ultimately, we try to change too quickly and with too high of expectations for ourselves that we lose hope, get frustrated and can’t maintain the changes we’ve tried to put in place.

But let me encourage you today. Regardless if you’ve already moved on from your resolutions, or you’re still diligently working, we all could use some help and support along the way. I encourage you to find an accountability partner. A supportive group or a companion that shares the same goals so you have an added layer of support and accountability.

And if you’re goals are health or weight-loss related, I want to make sure you know about the intimate women-only community I’ve created to serve for just that purpose.

Women who are all on their individual path of creating change, but having group support, ongoing training from myself, and a plethora of weight loss and health education and worksheets to track results, flesh out plans and ensure your success even further.

This group is designed not to dictate HOW you will get there (but of course there are resources to help guide you), but to boost your efforts and be a sounding board for encouragement, support and accountability.

This is my VIP group.

Ladies going above and beyond who are committed to themselves and their goals, and to be a safe place to be real, honest and know you’re not in this alone.

Our Faith + Our Health. How completely interconnected they are…

Blog%2FInstagram Post

I’m coming down from a beautiful heart-awakening women’s retreat this past weekend and letting the new truths and self-discovery settle in and NOT be forgotten.

It’s so easy to have “moments” of insight, but to quickly get back into the daily routine and let them get pushed aside, never fully taking hold for the long-term.

But one of the biggest shifts I had was the realization of how unmistakably interconnected our health and our faith are. God is active in both. Yet we sometimes think we’re in this “health thing” on our own. That God is more of a spectator when it comes to that, since it’s not necessarily directly “spiritual” in nature. But that’s false.

Let me encourage you today:

  • YOU are worth the work and effort to discover your true self.
  • YOU are worthy of living the best life has to offer.
  • YOU are designed with God’s imprint on your heart and soul that is UNIQUE to you. Ask Him to show you how to bring it to life so the desires of your heart are not locked away or left unfulfilled.
  • Take seriously the notion that we only have ONE life on this earth, and it truly can be lived with passion, fulfillment, love and expectation of miracles!
  • God’s love for you will not run dry. He will never stop pursuing you to show you how much He desires to be in relationship with you and to fill the desires of your heart. After all, HE put them there! ♡
  • God can be trusted. He will not fail you. God.is.love.

>> Final Thought: I encourage you today to look at your health journey and goals through a new set of eyes–through God’s eyes. That you are HIS creation. That your pursuits to better your health and improve the body He’s given you are Noble and Worthy causes.

And that God is not dis-connected to your pursuits, He’s cheering you on!

Wanting you to reach your finish line because He knows that will allow you to further your calling and be His hands and feet in the world even more!

P.S. I’ve been pondering for a while about how to best bring together the HEART and HEALTH transformations that so many of us are seeking. To live a life of PURPOSE, and to feel amazing in our own skin.

To do the inner AND outer work to produce satisfaction, transformation and fulfillment on a SOUL level.

The details are forming….becoming more clear. Keep an eye out. God is showing me an awesome path to help us do just this.

P.P.S. Reply to this email or send me a PM on Facebook if you want to be one of the first to know when it’s ready to be revealed. The interest list is forming. Get ready to unleash the Beautiful You that’s already on the inside. 😉

Gut-check! One of the most powerful statements I’ve heard recently…

Have you ever had one of those moments that you heard something that was so powerful it wouldn’t leave you?

That happened to me about a week ago.  A fellow entrepreneur and health coach shared with me one of her favorite statements that hit me at the core. She said,

“The authentic self has no need for excess weight.”

Wham!!

I felt like a light-bulb had flicked on in my head and an awakening happened inside my belly. I love constantly learning and growing. Realizing we don’t know it all, and we shouldn’t. The beauty in life, friendships and relationships is that we glean from other’s knowledge and experiences, if it we choose to be open to change.

And even though when my friend said this, it wasn’t directly meant for coaching or schooling me, it was just a comment in passing, but to me it was so powerful!

I’ve adapted it in my own way for what feels super meaningful to me:

baggage

And what I mean by extra baggage is still in reference to excess weight, but actually it can be meant for all areas of life. That when we are truly fulfilled, living our calling and serving and loving others, we don’t need fillers, distractions, idleness, mindless time-wasters.

>>Final Thought: When you’re living a truly fulfilled life, you have everything you need, and your body performs naturally at its highest level. It sheds extra weight and craves healthy fuel (i.e. food) and activity. To me that’s such a powerful mental shift. I hope it inspires you, as it did me. And not to make you feel like your life isn’t good or valuable, but to help you reflect on any areas that you may feel are not in congruence with the feeling of true fulfillment.

And if you find some, the next question is, are you brave enough to start making a change? To move forward to create the life that is fulfilling on a soul-level, in every area.
You’re worth it.

Have a beautiful day. 😉

P.S. As you reflect, if you feel that an area you’re struggling with is your body (i.e. aches and pain, poor sleep, back pain etc.) I invite you to explore my newest program–4 Weeks To A Stronger Core.

Here we’re diving deeper into understanding our body and the critical reasons for having a strong core. Your core supports every other bodily function, so it’s no joke. This isn’t a boot camp to get a “6-pack”, this is pairing down to the root of core strength, and building upon it properly.

If that interests you, we kick off this Wednesday, July 27th, so check it out here. 😉
